Stanislaus Surgical Hospital

Stanislaus Surgical Hospital opened its doors as an ambulatory surgery center in 1985.  As one of the first Surgery Centers in California, Stanislaus set the mark for service and efficiency.  In 1998, shareholders voted to convert the Surgery Center into an acute care hospital in order to increase the number of services available to our patients. SSH was licensed and certified as an acute care Hospital in January 2000. Stanislaus Surgical Hospital is the result of many years of planning and development. Working with doctors, nurses, physical therapists and other healthcare providers, the environment creates a unique and exciting change from the traditional hospital setting. The environment you will experience at SSH and Precision Imaging will provide you with the comfort of knowing that you are being treated in a state of the art medical facility while experiencing the comforts of home, but with a special attention to service.

University of California, San Francisco

As part of UCSF Medical Center, the Orthopaedic Institute is dedicated to advancing medicine and developing new and better treatments for musculoskeletal injuries. Our orthopaedic specialists led the development of new surgical devices and techniques that speed recovery. Our research team—scientists, developmental biologists, engineers, clinicians and imaging experts—collaborate in conducting advanced stem cell research and in developing ground-breaking procedures such as articular cartilage repair, a treatment that uses a patient’s own cartilage cells in smaller, early stage injuries to repair and help prevent further damage and the need for an eventual joint replacement. The close proximity and resulting interaction between basic scientists and orthopaedic specialists at Mission Bay will help speed promising treatments from the bench to bedside, ultimately leading to therapies and cures that will benefit patients in the Bay Area and around the world.
